Our Story

From Northern Europe to South Carolina
Some love stories begin with a spark. For Linda and Benjamin, it began with the sound of clinking dishes, sizzling pans, and the hum of a busy kitchen.

In 2018, Benjamin moved from South Carolina to Finland for a chef’s position at the very same company where Linda was already thriving — balancing her career as a radio host, performing as a musician, and still finding herself drawn back to the vibrant chaos of the culinary world.
“The kitchen became our common ground,” Linda says. “The culinary world brought us together, and as we worked side by side, we discovered that when love and food collide, beautiful things happen.”

A few years later, their friendship blossomed into something more. They became a team in life and in business — two driven people with one shared passion: creating meaningful experiences through food. In 2021, at just 22 years old, Benjamin launched his first business, a food truck that quickly became a local favorite. Its success led to opening a lunch restaurant the following year, and another one soon after.

“Benjamin built these incredible concepts,” Linda explains, “and I was in charge of the branding and marketing. That’s where our teamwork truly shined.”

After four and a half years of pouring themselves into these restaurants, they felt a new calling. So, they did something life-changing: they sold everything they owned and embarked on a nine-month adventure through Indonesia and eastern Australia. Traveling opened their eyes and deepened their connection — to each other, to food, and to the way sharing a meal can connect people in the simplest, most beautiful way.
It was during those travels that Linda felt a new idea taking shape: the joy of gathering over thoughtfully crafted spreads, the magic of blending European flavors with Southern charm, the beauty of slowing down to savor life. Charcuterie became the perfect expression of that vision — approachable yet refined, casual yet memorable.
And so, they returned to Benjamin’s roots in South Carolina with a fresh dream: Le Petit Platter. A business built on love, good food, and the belief that a thoughtfully prepared spread can do more than fill bellies — it can bring people together.
